Tips:

Upper GI: Coat with the thick barium; Hiatal hernia and reflux use thin barium.

Esophagram: Swallow thick barium. Lateral, Oblique, AP. When prone, place the triangular foam under the left hemiabdomen.

Can you post surgical patient swallow crystals? Ask them if they can drink pop/soda.
